Farmer/Buyer Workshop set for June 26
Farmers and food buyers interested in making connections in the St. Croix River Valley are invited to a special workshop Thursday, June 26, from 1.p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Phipps Center for the arts in Hudson, WI. If you are a farmer interested in getting your product into a restaurant, grocery store or institution (school, hospital, etc.), or a food buyer for a restaurant, caterer, market or institution, register online at gotlocalhudson.eventbrite.com or call 612-871-1541 or 866-378-0587.
The workshop will provide information to assist farmers and food buyers in the St. Croix River Valley who want to connect and explore best practices in working together. It will include a "speed-dating" inspired networking opportunity—a chance to forge new relationships for the 2008 growing season and beyond. This will be a great opportunity for restaurants and farmers to gear up to participate in the September 11 Dine Fresh Dine Local event in the St. Croix River Valley.
The farmer-buy connection workshop is being hosted by Renewing the Countryside , The Land Stewardship Project’s St. Croix River Valley Buy Fresh Buy Local Chapter, River Market community Co-op, the St. Croix Scenic Byway, Minnesota Grown and the "What We Need Is Here" Partnership
